Winter Celebration December 2021
- Families spent some quality time together building gingerbread houses and decorating cookies.
- All attendants played holiday BINGO to promote and teach holiday-specific sign language that included signs for Christmas and Hanukkah.
- A local motorcycle club drove through with Santa and presents!
- Of course, the elves made an appearance too.
Spring Carnival 2021
- Families came to learn about ways to help their DHH child
- Students came to play games!
- My booth was about "Dinner Table Syndrome."
- We team up with a local high school's HOSA Club. We got help, and the students' received community service hours.
Community Sign Language Classes
- I have taught beginner, intermediate, and advanced sign classes for six years!

FACE
- Aldine ISD has a Family and Community Engagement Department
- Over the last two years, I partnered with FACE to present stories in sign language that all students can access.
- With FACE University's development, sign language classes have been offered over the whole district. Parents can attend and receive credits toward their graduation.
2019 HOSA Presentation
- MacArthur High School's HOSA reached out and wanted to learn more about the Deaf Community.
- It was great to teach these students about equal access to education and medicine.
