Pandemic Teaching

The COVID-19 Pandemic hit teachers hard. Within weeks, educators put together and posted online lessons. However, teachers were not alone in facing challenges; parents and students had to take on challenges. Teachers of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing provided much-needed extra support and instruction tailored to each student's needs.

Community Wide Reach Out

Sharing sign language and Deaf needs/culture with the surrounding community should take a focal point. Another focal point should be supporting families of the RDSPD. 
Over the last six years, I have taught early childhood, primary, and early elementary grades. I have planned math lessons, advocacy lessons, curriculum-based reading lessons, and even water days!
